Martial arts Jujitsu gosport fareham portsmouth

Above our lil warriors group medal winners 4yrs to 7yrs old

Well it turned out to be some day, i must admit i was very nervous, i want it to go well for everyone, and all to have a real good day,

this was the first time we have ever done our own competition, it is not easy by any means to organize, and you do need the support of your adults and parents to make it run well, we had just enough to make it work could have done with more help, but it did run very smoothly, had a couple of hic ups, but no one knew until i said, but we got thought it with no problems and was sorted in minutes,

we started at 9:30am to about 3:30ish it was a long day 110 medals up for taking in:- continuous Kumite, ground fighting, no gi ground fighting, random attacks, open hand Kata, pairs Kata, weapons Kata, pairs jujitsu demo’s. and supreme ultimate open weight ground fighting,

we managed in the Dojo to run 5 competition Areas in all, so not to bad,

And i have to say everyone gave there all in the competition, with real spirit and sportsman ship, i saw no tears from the kids, it was a great day, we got more than my expectations of the day, i think everyone who came enjoyed it, the only down side for me was, that we could not have any spectators, we just don’t have the room, and we have to be sensible didn’t spoil it but it would have been nicer, but if it grows and we move it into a leisure centre that problem is gone,

and a big big thank you to all the sensei’s and parents who helped us with the running of it all, we couldn’t do this without you, it is a to bigger project to do on your own, the dream has begun lets hope these small seeds we have sown together on this 1st competition will now grow and blossom into what have wished for for so long as an Martial Arts & Jujitsu Association

Please see Below in  the three Albums Photos from our 1st Budokan Championships,

we had quite a day al ran very smoothly for our 1st time and was enjoyed by all,

and great competitive effort was put in by everyone, well done to all a real great day

Lacey Rogers Receives Award In Sport

November 9th, 2011

Lacey Rogers Awards Nght

Above Lacey Rogers with the Mayor & Mayoress of Gosport and headmaster and head of PE Bridgemary School.

We were invited to an awards night at Bridgemary Secondary School, as Lacey had been nominated for an award, It was a great night,

Lacey who has competed Both Nationally and Internationally, and won gold at both Random Attacks and Ground Fighting for both the Gosport Budokan Institute and The British Jujitsu Association, at the United Nations and the International Jujitsu Championships, was nominated for these awards at Bridgemary School

me and my wife Sharon felt so proud, in fact Lacey received two awards, an achievement award in sport, and a Cohort Progress Management award, presented to her by the Mayor and Mayoress of Gosport and the headmaster of the school,

the school put on a brilliant night, mostly done by the work of the children, I think it is great they get them fully involved in everything, you could see the pride in the teacher’s of the achievements the children had made, just in the way they praised them,

the children even laid on the buffet, and what a spread, all cooked and prepared by them, it was a great night, and i must say, all the children there were a credit to the school and the the efforts all the teachers and school staff have put into them,

And what we liked was the fact that the children are involved and encouraged in everything and praised for all there efforts and achievements, as the head master said a school heading in the right directions and it shows in the level and direction there exam results are going, a really enjoyable night,

and we are so so proud of our not so little girl NOW well done Lacey
